review 1: Jolie lives a somewhat lackluster life as a psychic who owns a small shop and gives advice to her clients. When a dashingly handsome man named Rand comes into her shop for a series of readings, her life changes drastically. Both Jolie and her best friend Christa find themselves moving to Rand's estate in England where she discovers that she is really a witch and Rand is a warlock. As Rand works with Jolie and helps her develop latent skills she possesses, Jolie and Christa find themselves in the middle of an underworld community that they have never known existed.A book about magic, witches, demons, fairies, pixies and other mythical creatures, H.P. Mallory presents a great story with lots of suspense and introduces us to characters both lovable and evil. A book that is h... moreard to put down and leaves you waiting to get your hands on the next book in the series.
review 2: Annoying, immature lead character Jolie gets head over heels and too smitten with all the male characters. Dress up a broomstick with a man's jeans and Jolie will fall in love with this broomstick too. Jolie has a low self esteem thinking that she is ugly and dumb although all the men (wizards, werewolves, vampires and even the fairy king) drool over her beauty. Jolie gets jealous when the werewolf gave Christa (Jolie's BFF) a little bit of his attention. Teenagers will enjoy this book. less
