review 1: This book was really difficult to get into. It was a lot of back story and day-to-day activity, with little action, until the last 30 pages or so. Honestly, I thought I might fall asleep. And I do admit, after I reached the middle, and still saw no action, I might have started skimming, rather than reading in depth. I'll still probably check out the sequel, but if it's not got more of a plot than this one, it may end up on my abandoned shelf.I'm pretty disappointed because I'm a sucker for these kinds of stories. (Super creepy school for "talented" kids, love triangle between the FMC and the good guy and the bad boy, etc.) Unfortunately, this one just wasn't up to snuff. Actual rating would be 1.5 stars.

... morehe characters were very well developed. As usual there were two hot love interests but I was all for the underdog, unfortunately she swayed more to the super hot charismatic guy and not the secretly sweet jaded friend. Grrr. The plot was interesting and original and it was hard to figure out which were the good guys and which were the bad. Overall it was an enjoyable and entertaining book, not amazing and not awful. less
