review 1: With all of the other wonderful reviews of this book I don't think it will be necessary to go into detail about why this is the MOST AMAZING COOKIE RECIPE BOOK EVER. However, I need to emphasize that it is. I've done about 85% of all the recipes in this book, and thoroughly enjoy tweaking them and trying different mix-ins. One of my favorite, most versatile recipes is the whole-wheat chocolate chip cookie. I've done combinations like coconut and chocolate chip, raisin and chocolate chip, carob and walnut, and probably more that I'm forgetting to mention. I love the "sprinkles" that they add to a lot of the recipes, and the introduction with tips on different ingredients is amazing. Again, this is the best cookie recipe book of all time. I've gone through several copies alr... moreeady because I've either soiled it beyond all recognition or handed out copies to my friends.
review 2: I need this book. I really, really do. I feel like I've been waiting for a cookie cookbook like this. Most cookie cookbooks that I've thumbed through are all pretty similar: chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin, snickerdoodles, etc. There's nothing exciting about them, and, frankly, I already have go-to recipes for those cookies. But this book is full of special, exciting recipes: tahini lime cookies, carob chocolate chip, mexican chocolate snickerdoodles! Like always with Isa's books, the directions are clear and the ingredients list is not too extravagant. I can't wait to use this book around Christmas. less
