review 1: well after reading AFRAID, TRAPPED and ENDURANCE all by J. Killborn previous to this, HAUNTED HOUSE was a bit of a disappointment. The book takes forever to get going, it is quite repetitive and seriously, how many times does a dark dreary corridor have to be described... Exactly the same way? In saying all of that I did get through the book quite quickly and it is funny in places with a good bit of classic Kilborn gore splashed in there - which is always a good thing! All in all I would class this one as 'OK' but I think my expectations were set high after reading Kilborn's other books which are all fantastic.
review 2: This book was fabulous! It was funny, it was nerve wrecking, it brought back memories on certain characters you loved frokm previous books, you
... moreloved the new ones...like Moni and her dirty tounge and bad ass attitude lol and the super intelligent monkey with a helmet and a little gun :)))It started creepy, became horror, ended happy end and kind with a good dose of humor. If it weren't for all these characters that are binded together in one book I would have hated the ending...but if it was a bad ending I would have been very dissapointed.I just loved this book and I can't understand the low ratings...maybe people didn't read the other author's books...whatever, I enjoyed it a lot - and recommend it even more to anyone who hasn't read it!Angel - thanks for recommending me this and giving me the chance to read it ;) less
