review 1: YA book about a teenage who moves to a new state after losing her mom and grandmother to Hurricane Katrina and ends up becoming addicted to meth. This book was alright but it was very short. The story was very general and did not give much insight in to the main characters addiction so you never feel like you really know her. It's ok but if you want to read a good YA about addiction I recommend the classic "Go Ask Alice" instead.
review 2: Childishly eloquent depiction of meth addiction. Heartbreaking in the havoc it wreaks on the user and the family. Infuriating when it strikes down young people with so much potential; so much to offer. I wanted to root for Laurel and yell at her for her stupidity at the same time. My feelings are even more convoluted regar... moreding T-Boom, Laurel's love interest who introduced her to the moon in the first place. less
