review 1: This was a fun novel set in the Star Wars universe, revealing in a fun and exciting manner- the history of Han Solo's Famous ship. There is a mystery-and sadly a that mystery's resolution is a bit anti-climactic.Along the way, however, the are a few glitches. For example, are we to assume that the criminal justice system in the Star Wars galaxy works much like the American court system. For example, are we to assume that an arrested suspect has the same right to remain silent... this seemed a bit odd.A Memory code phrase is used to generate a password for the computer. Is BASIC the same as English, using the same alphabet and thus the letters have the same numbers in English and Basic.C3PO is given a command and answers "Got it!" Really, is that the manner in which C3po... more responds.Apparently, that last one occured because the author was nearing the end and on the very next page another character answers with the same "Got It!" Still, a fine novel in the Star Wars universe and a fun read, even with a few gliches.
review 2: This was an enjoyable story, cleverly crafted by James Luceno, that brings us from the Millennium Falcon's debut off the assembly line to current events in the Expanded Universe. Han Solo's granddaughter discovers a foreign device in the famed space vessel. It's something that not even Han had ever uncovered. Her desire to search out it's origins begins the history.Filled with pirates, circus performers, scum and villainy of all sorts, peppered with humor and loaded with adventure, this is one for all Star Wars fans. less

Not as good as I thought it would be, but not bad, fills in some holes nicely.
