review 1: I would give this book 3 stars. I liked it, and will probably read another in the Emma Caldridge series, but I don't think it is as good as the Karin Slaughter books. The main character, Emma, is a strong female endurance runner and is very likable, but I don't feel like we get good character development, and there is so little romance and chemistry between her and some of the male characters. The mystery is ok, but the ending was left hanging and didn't wrap up well. I enjoyed the first book more.
review 2: After the first 75-100 pages, or so, the book starts to grip you and you find the need to keep reading and finish. Again, a storyline by Freveletti that is improbable and yet I kept reading. Pirates attacking a cruise ship - in our present circumstance
... mores, I guess it could happen. The herioine in Freveletti's books is strong but just weak enough to make you cheer her on. Freveletti needs to tie up loose ends better. less
