review 1: I read this short story via book shout and loved it which why I gave it 5 stars.it is a story of a young woman who's lost her job & split with her boyfriend who's betrayed her by sleeping with her ex best friend, so has returned to the family holiday home to live with her mother.I found it to be a page turner which I finished in about an hour and a half thanks to the authors fantastic writing, character and plot development.The main character meets the love interest when she's walking her mothers dog in the local park after his grandmothers dog attacks it. She isn't looking for another relationship because she's still not over her ex but she can't help starting to have feelings for him when she sees how gentle and caring not to say drop dead gorgeous he is. The developing ... morelove story is nearly halted when she thinks he is a killer as a result of going in to one of the bedrooms and finding a dead body in the bed with medical instruments next to it, when she goes to pick him up for their date, but he manages to put her mind at rest.
review 2: I was so disappointed. I had only skimmed the blurb before reading it and I never realized it was just a sad woven excuse to advertise that cursed product she rants about throughout.I had expected mystery and thrills - a girl with a shattered life meets the seemingly nice boy-next-door and then finds a dead body? That's the perfect foundation for a beautiful story right there! But there was no suspense no drama. Not much of anything, actually. The only positive aspect was that it was like less than 20 pages long so it didn't waste TOO much of my time.Usually, I'd add something demeaning about what sort of readers would enjoy this book but I can't even do that. It's not worth it. less
