review 1: Definitely not as good as the first book but I still love the story, and I think a cute little story about loving family is just what I need for Friday night. This series certainly has potential and I hope the author will improve in the third book because frankly this book is a slight disappointment. The heroine is not doing much and seems to be waiting for others to help her, a typical damsel in distress. In the first book the heroine was a lot toughe and tried to help others and solve problems rather than waiting to be saved but the rest of the family and Hudson, especially Hudson are cool and there are some memorable quotations too. Overall a satisfying read.

I love her choices of main characters, love interests and supporting characters. I cant wait for the third book to come out! If you have a thing for fairy tales like I do, this is a definite must-read. Plus it has a few new vocabulary words, a lot of them were insults but before today I had no idea that troglodyte was even a word and new vocabulary is always a plus! less
