review 1: Sedona Snow, a far in the future descent of Arizona Snow, the conspiracy theory senior citizen in the Arcane Society series, has been kidnapped and used for experiments on the secret formula. THe sad thing is...no one, not even her Marriage of Convenience husband, is looking for her even though she's been missing for 3 weeks. She escapes, and upon finding her unfaithful husband, she settles in Rainshadow, where she meets the new Guild boss, Cyrus Jones.
review 2: I've been reading Krentz for over 25 years, and I still enjoy all her books. Some recent ones haven't been great, but I did really like this one. Although the story takes place over only a short time period, the romance, action and mystery flowed very well. I really didn't want to put the book down.... more I loved Sedona, she was one tough cookie. I also liked Cyrus, especially his thought processes in regards to Sedona- he wasn't overbearing with his instant attraction, was protective but not like a cave man, and really worked well as a team with her. Overall a great read, though I think I wanted a little more of the rainshadow mysteries solved and something about how everything was resolved made me feel there should have been a bit more to the ending. less
