review 1: Good enough book, not particularly deep in thought. It's as though the author purposefully chooses to write 14 characters and take them all at surface level rather than write any one of them to any real emotional depth. The story was multigenerational and fraught with adversity but as the author kept it relatively surface level...and therefor so was my reaction to reading it. Conclusion: good enough to read if you are bored and it is there...not great enough to run out and buy.
