review 1: Till now, not considering the novellas, it was the most lazily written In Death series book. The plot was shoddy. Though people were getting fobbed off left, right and centre the reasoning in the end hardly made sense. Heavy duty financial jargon was inserted to make it feel cohesive and well researched but I guess the author just got wrapped in it and could not find a way out of it. And that was why the book fell flat on it's face for me.
review 2: Pretty much the proscribed predictable plot line for Eve Dallas story. A week after reading I can barely remember the characters. Serial killer, of course, but he murders too frequently. Eve figures out who he is but doesn't let the reader know her thoughts, her line of deduction. And her husband/mega-millionaire ma... morekes her feel good about herself while helping out big time on the case. Think the whole "In Death" series now needs to die! less
