review 1: Our Eve...she's growing...and it's about damn time. I've ben waiting for it and it's finally happening! She's finally connecting with the people in her life: Peabody especially. She bought the girl lipstick for cripes sake! LOL She even took an idea for "Date Night" from Peabody. Loved it. Bonding with her people...Baxter, Trueheart, Carmichael and the other random officers - it's great to see. Really. The baddie: interesting that we got to see him from the beginning, right up through the end. I'm a stickler for family, so all that stuff made me weepy as well and that's okay.
review 2: Thankless in Death is as good as JD Robb's other books in the "in death" series. I love the world she created and the consistency at which she presents it in these subsequent boo
... moreks. The world is a mix of future high-tech and gritty underworld. In this particular story, you actually know who the killer is from chapter one, which is a little different from her other stories. That made this story about the chase, rather than the identity. I enjoyed the change. As always, her characters are likeable with their various quirks and I'm pleased that she's continuing to advance the personal stories of the characters rather than leave their relationships stagnant. If you're a JD Robb fan, you won't be disappointed. less

I always enjoy the books in this series, but I think this is the first one that brought me to tears.
