review 1: I don't believe I've laughed out loud while reading a book nearly as many times as I did while reading A Change of Fortune. This was such a fun book.Eliza Sumner was a breath of fresh air and was so funny in almost all her interactions with fellow characters in this charming book. A titled British heiress (who had her fortune embezzled away by her father's business manager) is set on finding the scoundrel in America and seeing justice repaid. She is funny without really trying, not only in conversations, but also her physical humor. Ripping dresses, padding falling out, tripping. Don't take my word for it. Read it!
review 2: Do you enjoy historical based fiction? Christian based books? If you answered yes to either it both of these questions you will enjoy
... moreA Change of Fortune. Jen Turano immediately had you questioning what is going to happen next and how it will turn out for Lady Eliza Sumner aka Miss Sumner. There are many twists and turns that well leave you frustrated at how unfair life was for a lady back in the day, but happy when it all ends well. less
