The Ascendance Trilogy
review 1: I read The Shadow Throne by Jennifer A. Nielson it is the last book of the ascendance trilogy. War is inevitable and Jaron is faced with some of the hardest choices he has ever had to make as a king. He goes on a dangerous rescue mission to save Imogen who has been kidnapped by the King Vargan despite everyone telling him not to. When he gets to the enemy camp everything goes wrong! He is losing his country more and more every single day… I recommend this book to anyone who likes medieval style of writing. I got this book from the library and decided to read it because I read the first two and I really enjoyed them. The genre is fantasy.
review 2: This was a fun, engaging, clever series! I'm the first to admit that all of Joran's planning, plotting and thi
... morenking ten steps ahead of every other character in the book (friend and foe alike) was just fantastical beyond belief. There's simply NO way that all of his complicated, multi-layered schemes could have all worked out to his benefit. It's just not possible and yet I honestly don't care. He made me fear for him, mourn with him, cheer for him and celebrate with him. Watching him find himself and develop into his full, true self throughout the three books was really good stuff and I'm a bit disappointed to see the story end. less
