review 1: I really enjoy this series because it shows that you can have a high adventure series with some violence and risk without overwhelming the kids or watering down the real history. Jennifer Nielsen has picked up Sera, Riq and Dak's story and we find them looking for the history break in Nazi Germany during WWII.Major Martin's documents must be delivered to the Nazis as a ruse to throw them off the scent of where the Allies are really going to focus their manpower. As in the other books of the series, knowing who to trust is key to helping find and fix the break in history, getting them one step closer to going back home to their families. The secret lies in convincing the Nazi powers, even Hitler himself, that the Allies are headed to Greece and that the kids are really t... morerying to help Germany not spies themselves. The evil Tilda and SQ are after them along with half of the Third Reich. Is Colonel Von Roenne someone they can trust or will this be the last adventure they have. The Infinity Ring is a fast paced adventure series with each installment written by some of the best in children's literature. Look for "Behind Enemy Lines" in December.
review 2: Another excellent entry into this middle grade series! Riq, Dak, and Sera have traveled back in time to World War II. In their world, neither the Axis powers nor the Allies have won the war. Instead, they have beaten each other to the ground, and this is the point in which the SQ has stepped in and taken control of the world. Everything hinges on fixing this break, and it is their most dangerous mission yet, as they try to infiltrate the Nazi war machine. Recommended for grades 4-8. You must read the other books in the series first.ARC provided by publisher via NetGalley. less
