review 1: Wonderland is evidently a very colorful place. This book is a color-filled journey through the whimsical world of Wonderland, and an introduction to basic colors featuring Lewis Carroll's classic characters. I do think it could be a tad confusing for a young reader when there are so many other colors featured just as prominently on a page as the one being actually presented, but that's mostly just a quibble. This isn't my favorite in the BabyLit series so far, but it's colorful and vibrant, and a fun way to meet Alice and her friends for the first time.
review 2: A board book of colors based on Alice and Wonderland, part of a series that takes classics and uses them to present simple concepts. I love the idea of parents excitedly exposing their favorite classi
... morecs to their young child, but this newest addition to the series especially impressed me because not only are there only a 2-3 large words on each page (white rabbit, red hearts) and the color words printed in their respective color to help little minds learn, but unlike some of the other board books in this series everything depicted is familiar or basic vocabulary (hat, cat, teapot all relate to the story by Lewis Carroll and are much more accessible developmentally than the "one governess" from the Jane Eyre counting book, for example. The illustrations have a vintage feel but are bright, attention grabbing and fun to look at for all. less
