review 1: A better title would be "Unlikely Pairings and Unique Encounters" and even that is a stretch for some of these tales. "Friendship" being too strong a term to apply. Having said that, however, I still liked every one of them. Each has its own unique twist to the theme. Each illustrates a surprising aspect of animal behavior. If you love learning new things about animals, don't pick on the title. Just enjoy the window into nature that is being provided.
review 2: Like the titels already says the author talks about remarkable friendship stories between different animal species and in a couple cases between animals and humans. They are lasting from a moment, weeks, month or in some cases are still going strong. Each story is very remarkable and well written. ... moreBesides this it got some little boxes with some short and interesting facts. Also lots of nice pictures. Overall a heartwarming book that just makes you smile while reading it. less
