This was a pretty satisfying conclusion to and interesting, if not especially memorable, series. There were a few editorial and continuity issues with this book: Was Eustacia in top form or not in top form that day? And does it even really matter? And the narrator's voice (I nearly typed "natterer's voice" by accident) was far too obtrusive, and felt like it was added to beef this book up to the same size as the others. But the Red Knight bit was just great. Actual rating: 3.5 stars, but I round up.
I seriously loved this series. I am so grateful that I came to it when it was completed as I think it would have made me nuts to wait. I highly recommend this series to any who loved Harry Potter and The Grey King series, as well as all Anglophiles. Thanks so much to Julianne for again offering me something that I love. I especially appreciated that while the kids were the highlighted heroes, there were plenty of adults who were fighting alongside them. That is often missing in youth fantasy these days.
Oh, it ties together all of the loose ends and is just wonderful. Well worth the read.
