review 1: Finished this one late this weekend and forgot to post that I'd read it! Regardless of that, this book is a great addition to the continuing story and I'll be sad to read the next book as it's the last of the series. Nimmo has done an amazing job at making an interesting and unique story all her own. As I've mentioned in the past, this series gave me a Harry Potter type feel to it as both this series and that one are school based. However, there are enough difference to keep you reading to find out what happens to all of Nimmo's wonderful characters! Check this series out if you're looking for something different to read!
review 2: Not the best in the series, but definitely much better than Charlie Bone and the Castle of Mirrors. I was bored with the several ch... moreapters where Charlie has to fill in other characters about what has been happening, since they weren't there with him in the story when it happened. It almost felt like review since you already new everything!Aside from that though, not a bad book. I really liked it. I almost gave this book a 3 star rating because of said tedious thing above.Charlie and the other charactors aare finally getting closer to the Shadow. The Shadow actually first appeared in book 5 but doesn't really have a big role in either this book or the 5th one. So a better title for this book would have been Charlie Bone and something regarding Badlock. less
