review 1: Open this little book is a book that has several miniature books within it. Each page you turn, you are opening a new book. It starts with the reader opening the book. Then, a lady bug opens another book that is smaller. Then within the lady bug’s book, a frog is opening a smaller book. Within the frog’s book, a rabbit is opening its own book. Through the rabbit’s book, a bear is opening its book. Finally after the bear’s book, a giant person is opening its book. The book starts fairly large and gets smaller and smaller and smaller until the giant is opening a very little book at the end. The book could even be read backwards; the books would start small with the giant. It would then get bigger with the bear, bigger with the rabbit, bigger with the frog, bigger wit... moreh the lady bug, and even bigger with the reader. There isn’t much text, it is strictly about turning the pages to open new books. I think that young students would really enjoy reading and flipping through this book multiple times in a row. I would provide my students with this book so they could look at it on their own time.
review 2: This children’s story is very interesting. When I first opened the book, I did not expect to find a bunch of little books within one big book. I thought this was a very creative way to make this story more interactive for the reader. The colors in the story were your basic colors of the rainbow, which I thought was appropriate for a book like this. I also thought that it was clever for the book to go backwards and once you opened all the stories you could then go through and shut them. This is a great story about friendship and it is a wonderful book for children. I think what makes this book so great is that when you read it the book continues to get smaller and smaller. I think this is a great touch for any children's book because it makes it interactive for the reader. I recommend this book for any teacher or parent with younger children. less

A very clever idea and one that kids will want to look at over and over again.

I loved the conceit of this book/within a book/within a book/within a book.
