review 1: I have fallen in love with these stories. I just love spending time with Creel and Shardas. Sequels can be dangerous, especially thirds, but Jessica Day George has managed to create three distinct stories, which each bring something new to the table. I really enjoyed this book, it explored the dragons' history more and was very interesting. I also loved really getting to know Velika. So, yes, I liked this book and highly recommend it.
review 2: While definitely not as good as the first two Dragon Slippers books, it's still a very fun dragon adventure. Creel is still pretty awesome, and Luka's cool. Hagen is pretty awesome, and I'm glad he got some page time. The dragons are all cool as well, though there were so many in this book that it was hard to appreciate
... morethem individually. The plot is probably the best thing about the book, because none of the characters seemed to get as much attention as they did in past books. The plot is certainly interesting, unexpected, and engaging.Unfortunately, it just doesn't live up to the other books in the series. Still a good book, though, and I don't regret reading it. less
