review 1: Fabulous! Just what one would expect frkm Jessica Day George. From the first book, to the second, up to the last, the author has managed to captivate me with her retelling of the classic fairytales. My only complain is that she left out Beauty and the Beast and Sleeping Beauty, 2 of my favorite tales.Poppy, however, is still my favorite princess. I like her spunk and her self-assurance. I wish the author made a story for Jonquil, the most vain princess. She could have been Beauty and one of the Shadow princes the beast, perhaps? I think it would have been nice if at least one of the princes from the Kingdom Under Stone was reformed. Yes, indeed, it would have been so romatic.I am definitely looking forward into reading more of Ms George's works. It was a lot of... more fun.
review 2: A. Maze. Ing!!! Jessica day George has done it again, and although I know this series is done, I cannot help but wish for another. I love that everything from the first book is being tied back in, and that everyone's personalities and characters are solidified and expanded on. Not only does she magnificent work with characters, but Miss George was able to add in another two doses of fairy tales. With the first book it was simply the twelve dancing princesses. With the second, Cinderella was added in. This third installment did fairy tales justice by not only adding red riding hood into the mix but also splashing a taste of Robin Hood as well (which absolutely excited me since those three tales have always been my favorite!!). I wish I could meet this characters in person, and I will always consider this series close to my heart. less

Loosely based on red riding hood, and concluding the Princess series, this was entertaining.

Great end to a great series! (Well, connected-book series, at least.)
