review 1: Written by a Colorado author - it's a prequel to Tom Sawyer with a great female protagonist dealing with the death of her brother (whose nickname was Huckleberry), moving to a new town, making new friends, and meeting the steamboat pilot, Sam Clemens who is in town for a few days while his boat is repaired. Very funny quotes, superstitions, adventures, and insights into how we all deal with the sorrow of death differently.
