review 1: I have a soft spot for this series so take it with a grain of salt. So if you tell me there is a Harry Dresden book which is a tribute to a heist movie I'm going to sign up. Cold days (the last book) broke a lot of ground in terms of character evolution. This book does the same, but in a subtler way that makes me buy the last book's major transition more. It's not the best in the series but it's certainly not the worst.
review 2: Not as good as many, in my opinion, but still I liked the idea of a heist book. However, in execution it was a bit lacking for me. I found the "Parkour!" annoying and there was far too much explaining in between bits of action in the second have of the book. I really like seeing Dresdan start to figure out his personal life. Michael's ... moreand Butter's stories were awesome. I loved seeing the Denarians back again, too. I'm excited that I'm all caught up with the series now and can eagerly await the next ones when they come! less
