review 1: The three stories chronicle Harry's relationship with a Bigfoot named Strength of a River in His Shoulders, River for short, and his half-human son Irwin. I liked how River's people were portrayed and I liked unusually subdued Harry. Not that his usual smartassery isn't present. It was, but measured to fit the tone of the stories about father and son. Very nice. And I would like to read more about River, Irwin and Connie.
review 2: "“Wait,” Connie said. “Wait. What the hell just happened here?”Irwin put a hand on her shoulder, and said, to me, “She’s … she’s a vampire. Isn’t she?”I blinked and nodded at him. “How did…?”“Paranet,” he said. “There’s a whole page.”“Wait,” Connie said again. “A … what? Am I going to spa
... morerkle or something?”“God, no,” said Irwin and I, together."God, I love you Harry Dresden less
