review 1: Could a cupcake change your life forever? It did for foster mcafee. When foster and her mom fled from her step dad "Elvis" living in A new town seemed to be hard until foster met a couple that helped rescue them from falling over a cliff. They lived with the couple and on a trip to the grocery store foster met a boy named Macon who worked for a actress Macon invited her over to the actresses house and at first foster didn't like her but as time went along she liked her. When foster started to deliver cupcakes to a small coffee shop she realized people loved her cooking! Read the book to find out more!
review 2: The book Close to Famous is a wonderful story of a 12 year old girl, Foster McFee, who has just moved to a new town, Culpepper, and as a tough time maki
... moreng friends. Her dream is to have a cooking show like her idol, Sonny Kroll, and she loves to bake. Foster also has trouble reading and writing, and in her small town, she meets an actress, who has retired to this town to stay away from the media, and helps Foster with her writing and reading. Foster slowly adapts to Culpepper, learns to read, and makes friends.I think this is an inspiring and wonderful book because the author describes how Foster is feeling/her emotions through events, and the details of this book are different than many other realistic fiction stories. I recommend this book! less

I really liked the book. I liked the "randomness," and the reality of the characters.
