review 1: It was awesome! Like in the previous books, there were no heroes here, only people trying to survive a war. Each one with their own motives, and despite I sometimes despise their actions, when they face death, I feel sad. So if you're expecting a light fantasy reading this isn't your book, here war is described as it is, stripped from her naive "romanticism" but full of lies, treason, pain and death. I'm starting with "Red Country" and I hope Bayaz finally meets with his match and receives what he deserves.
review 2: This is a highly addictive book about a three day battle in the North between the Union and the North (Black Dow), and although it is essentially a book about a war, what it does best is to show just how wasteful and pointless war can be. The story
... more jumps from lots of different viewpoints on both sides and this is done very cleverly during some of the battle scenes. Try not to get too attached to any characters as no one is safe in a Joe Abercrombie novel!Another excellent book by one of my favourite authors. less

Sin duda entretiene, pero algo flojo si se le compara con la trilogía que lo precede.
