review 1: Talk about a head game! While I know two doesn't make a pattern, I love how the atmosphere of the first two collected volumes reflect the key on the cover. Volume 1 with the ghost key and it's high body count + grim narrative. Volume 2 now with some big reveals, we know what's behind some doors, and now we know other doors exist, where those we know nothing about contain only mysteries and fragments of our imagination. The timeline for Duncan, Ellie, and Caravaggio, real and altered, are the stuff of detective boards. One less star than volume 1 as this feels like a bridge from something great to something great. Not a great bridge but a damn good one.
review 2: Having picked up Vol. 1 at San Diego Comic Con, I could only go so long before I was seeking out Vol
... more. 2. The story just keeps getting better and the more I read, the more I need my next fix. In fact, I couldn't even wait to get Vol. 3 in print. I bought it on my Kindle. Head Games is everything a second book in a series should be. It draws you in, asking more questions than it answers, but not without leaving you with a few more pieces to the puzzle. The artwork is beautiful, as always, but it's the story that keeps you. On to book 3! less
