review 1: This book/manga is about a high school boy in Japan that gets bullied by other "gangsters" in the school that he goes to. One day he was getting chased then he ran and ran until he got tired and one of the pro boxer that trains in the Kamogawa Gym near the underpass that he got trapped in helped him by scaring the bully away. He then thought about joining the boxing club because he wanted to know the feeling of being strong.
review 2: As a sports manga fanatic, I got to say this series is one of the greats! It's a sports manga which focuses on boxing. Imagine a boy who is teased and bullied all his life til one day he is saved by a professional boxer from his tormentors and is brought to a local gym. On hit on the punching bag is all it takes for the kid to be
... morehooked. Of course he ends up being totally awesome at the sport and become a champion, but hey, who wants to read sports mangas where the team you are rooting for loses? Not me, enjoy! less
