review 1: I really thought about giving this book 5 stars. It's a shame that there is no 4.5 rating. I think Stephen King summed it up best on the cover when he called the book "An extraordinary work of detection, suspense, and supernatural mystery." It was the kind of book that makes the reader think about events and go back to reread them. I still have some unanswered questions, and I am hoping there will be a sequel because I really liked the main character, Det. Jacob Lev.
review 2: In my opinion, this would have made the 4 star list (think "Da Vinci Code") if not for the fact that it, unfortunately, has too many gimmicks: biblical characters, reincarnation, an insect that morphs into a golem and, last but not least, the golem itself. In the process, we covered q
