review 1: Not an interesting read, at least for me. I really did not care about the plot, or the killer Alex Delaware was pursuing. In fact, I had to skim over the graphic descriptions of the crime scenes, all the blood & gore grossed me out. Finally, the way Kellerman wrapped up the entire story line felt forced and rushed, as if he was giving his readers all the 'wrap-up' information about the killer(s) & story all at once, dispassionately, factually-- "So: first this, then this, and this and oh yeah... that." Not very entertaining, and overall, I was left thinking how much I really didn't care about the messed up psyche of the killer.
review 2: Milo and Alex team up again, this time due to a murdered, disemboweled woman. She had a habit of making people hate her and
... morethe list of suspects seems to be everyone she ever met. When a man described as the nicest man who had no enemies is killed in the same manner, Alex and Milo must step up the investigation before anyone else is killed. However, there seems to be no connection between the victims. Alex's psychology background is useful and his own past comes into the story. I think this novel was better than some previous books in the series. Perhaps it is that Alex's involvement is more necessary or maybe the his recalls from his past are the reason. I will definitely keep reading this series. less

Good psychology with crime and law enforcement. Good characters (Alex Delaware and Milo Sturgis).
