review 1: This is the second book in the "Marvel Universe Vs." series. The first is Marvel Universe vs. The Punisher. Basically, this story takes threads from the first book and expands on them. What you get is a less dark, more fun, tale than the first book. Deadpool once again proves to be hilarious in the hands of Jonathan Maberry. Overall, the plot is even better than the plot of the first book. Now it is not just about hunting these cannibals, but is also about the race to find a cure for the virus that caused this whole situation. Also, there is the full threat of Hulk that has to be dealt with! That's right: Wolverine Vs. Hulk! Awesome. The one problem I have with this book, and the reason it isn't getting 4 stars, is the artwork is not to my liking. The artwork is simply too ... moredark. I know the story is grim, but the artwork doesn't need to make everything so literally dark! Faces are covered in darkness so much so that it is hard sometimes to make out what character is even in a panel. It's that dark!In the end though, this is definitely a worthwhile read for anyone who enjoyed the first book. It expands upon it in a very cool way that leads into the next book in the series, Marvel Universe Vs. The Avengers!
review 2: Without too many spoilers. This is a zombie style narrative of the Marvel Universe variety. The 'Marvel Universe Vs. Wolverine' title is a bit of a misnomer, as he does have partners, but this is a very bleak story. This story shows the extremes of the human condition and when times are so desperate, the survival of the human race depends on Deadpool!! (and that's really bad!)There's a lot of comedy in this part, especially the last two chapters, but overall the story highlights the different kinds of heroes present in the Marvel world: Frank Castle, the vigilante Punisher; Deadpool who is totally unstable; Wolverine serves as a mediating force and finally Mr. Fantastic who has seen his whole world fall apart.Perhaps the best thing about the story (without too many spoilers) is that the plot doesn't actually resolve itself, rather, there is a hint at what kind of ending is had in such a horrific situation. less

This was a cool story kinda reminded me of an alternate reality version of Marvel Zombies.

The more I think about it, the more I dislike Marvel Zombies. This is no different.
