review 1: I read this story many months after finishing the Book of Deacon trilogy, so I can't remember all of the details as well as I would have liked. Jade takes place many generations after the conclusion of the previous trilogy. It follows young Jade and the dragon who has been lurking outside her village. It turns out that he is a descendant of Myn, and she is a descendant of Mirranda. This is a short story that follows Jade as she grows up and gives some details about the rest of her life. Easy to read and a nice follow up.
review 2: A lot stronger than the trilogy this sprang from, this follows the story of Jade, a descendant of Myranda and Duncan, and a green dragon that is descended from Myranda's own dragon. As the forces that Myranda and the others banished f... morerom their world begin to stir again, Jade must decide whether she wishes to stay with the friend that raised her, or rejoin the world on humans for the man she loves.
