The Book of Deacon
review 1: This book SUCKED me in and I couldn't put it down. You have to love Myranda and her Dragon Myn is adorable. Lain is a mystery you just have to figure out. Deacon is an adorable bumbling but brilliant guy you have to love. This book helps you learn about the characters and a bit about the world. You find out Lain is a chosen one destined to save the world from the war that's ravaged it for centuries. Myranda has the mark too but she's not sure what her destined role is. She convinces herself it is her duty to find and bring together the 5 chosen.
review 2: I picked up this book for free via Kindle. I was very pleasantly surprised!!! The plot is engaging: intrigue, suspense, and a dabble in romance. Great! For being a book about a coming of age girl battling agai
... morenst her kingdom's war, the book was not overly violent and was clean of profanity- thank you for that!I enjoyed much of this book. I am in love with the baby dragon, and found myself quickly turning pages out of concern! I was often so engaged In the book, I could nearly feel the magical trainings that our characters undergo. Great descriptions!I removed half a star because there are portions that seemed like they went long, and the dialogue exchanges need a little work. The dialogue form itself was excessively simple, but the vocabulary of the characters was refreshingly complex. So, overall I would have given it 4 1/2 stars if I was able, but because the plot is original and the completion has me racing to book 2- I rounded up and gave this book 5 stars. Grab this- it's a keeper :) less
