review 1: Julia Crouch certainly has the skill to write the breakdown of a family. This book has a very sinister touch to it, by the end of it you'll question your closest friendships and the people you think you know. Because it isn't all as it seems, as is explored in this book. However whilst the pages were addicting at the start, as the book drew to a close it became less and less believable with eventually a very lazy and 'cop out' of an ending drawing it to a close. This was a huge shame, because it felt like it had potential.
review 2: I loved this book, thoroughly enjoyed it and it kept me on edge right through. I found the further I got through the book, the more I hated Polly's character. I found myself almost wanting to scream at her she made me so angry, rath
... moreer frustrating! but guess that shows how good Julia's writing and descriptiveness was. I have to say the only thing that stopped me rating it the full 5 stars was I felt a bit of an anticlimax at the end, and slightly misunderstood a few bits near the end and throughout the book. I felt the ending seemed a little rushed, and a few things explained a bit more, but all the same I would definitely recommend this book, probably for fans of similar authors like Sophie Hannah and Araminta Hall. I will certainly be reading more books written by this author. :-) less
