review 1: I thought when I read book 6 there would never be another favorite hero than Jules in this series. but I think I may say that with every book in the series that I read because now I find that no one Will ever compare to Adam. I felt so much angst and sadness for him and was willing them to be together. I needed a hea and I just didn't know how JAL was going to work it out. it was marvelous. the entire church scene had me in tears. perfection. even all the side characters were so.alive! the only pause I have w the story was the number of men she said she had been with but then her thoughts kept making me feel like she had more lover than that. but I shook it off. evie deserved an hea as well.
review 2: Started off well but devolved into eye-rolling fairy tale
... moreterritory. A pity because I thought she handled the start of their romance well, better than I expected out of a whore and vicar story. Unusually, I liked both characters and thought they stood up pretty well. There was a sensitivity in dealing with Adam in particular, and I liked his portrayal as a vicar who works at and takes pride in his role. Evie was a typical whore with the heart of gold, but she was likeable for her strength. The building up of the romance was sweet, enjoyed the humour, wanted more realistic resolution for them. less

One of my favorite of the Pennyroyal Green series. I haven't cried so much at a book in a long time.
