review 1: Really the best best best book I've read in a long long time...I can't come up with finer words right now coz I'm still in awe...* the prose is crisp and engaging (and if I may be so bold and say that Julie Anne was apparently AWAKE during her English classes at school)* the characters were well thought out and not your standard hero/heroine-by-number that we usually get and the supporting characters were pretty interesting too...* people fell on love for a REASON and didn't hop into bed during the first 45 pages * the conflict was real and understandable and didn't arise because either someone was on statan's payroll or dirt stupid ...If you enjoy romances in general and historical romances in particular or of you just enjoy STORIES this is the book fo... morer you

So, Alex is known for being dangerous when crossed, so he shows up at the Eversea's house, and plans to ruin Genevieve in return. But, Genevieve is in love with her friend Harry, who has told her he is going to ask their friend Millicent to marry him, and Genevieve is heartbroken. So, Alex suggest she make Harry jealous, and she tries to, with ALex, and then they fall into lust.. loved this tory. less
