review 1: Another book in the 'A Witchcraft Mystery' series, the third one and he third that I absolutely adored. These books are like honey...they are sweet and seductive. You just have to keep reading and you yearn for more before you even turn the last page. In this book we delve a little deeper i ot the history of the characters. In a totally natural way, Juliet Blackwell lets us in on their little secrets, their fears and the chips they carry on their shoulders. It never feels forced and you symphatize with the characters whether you want to or not. On 310 pages Juliet Blackwell manages to solve a mysterious death, tells a tale about friendship and relationships, develops the characters, entertains you and makes you fall in love with the whole series even more. In a way that r... moreesembles a dance she manages to move the characters in and out of the spotlight withiut it feeling artificial. Even though Maya was not a main character this time she was still a steady presence. To sum it up...Blackwell brings the Haights to life and keeps it that way. I can not wait to read the next one and hope there will be plenty more of them in the future!
review 2: This is the 3rd book in the Witchcraft Mystery series by Juliet Blackwell. Natural-born Witch Lily Ivory is involved with solving another murder in San Francisco. She uses her herbs and spell casting to help weed out the bad guy. Lily has some hexes against her and her friends to deal with in this installment. With the help of her new found friends, it's an interesting mixture of herbs, spells, sarcasm, and vintage clothing. Although, I don't consider clothing from the 50's, 60's, and 70's as vintage. Hmmm, that makes me vintage. :) less
