A Liss MacCrimmon Mystery
review 1: This book was centered around all the hussle and bussle of Christmas, particularly obtaining the "hottest" toy of the year. The book is easy to follow. I was able to put it down (I read another short book I was interested in). But when I picked it back up, I could easily remember the story line and finish the book. Some reviewers claim that parts of the book aren't realistic. I understand fiction has to be somewhat realistic to be credible, but, really, it is fiction. This is not your normal sweet, gooey, Christmas novel. But I did enjoy it.
review 2: In Moosetookalook Maine, Liss wanted some publicity for her small town to boost the economy since it hadn't snowed yet and tourism was down. She advertised the 12 days of Christmas and the hot item of the season
... morewas tiny teddies that were sold out everywhere except in their town. Crowds did shop local but a toy shoppe owner was shot and killed because he found out that another store owner was selling counterfeit bears at a hefty price. Liss tracked down the killer who she had known for years and almost got killed herself. This book was an okay read for the holidays. less
