review 1: It was seriously exhausting reading this book. I haven't been able to sleep properly for the past few days. It wasn't because of all the scary shit in the story (I'm a morbid person, horror excites me) but it's mostly because I've been binge reading the Experiment in Terror series. Lying Season is probably my favorite out of all the books in the series (although they're all great), and with good reason. This book has been a real rollercoaster ride of emotions. One minute I'm happy, I'm excited, then after a second I'm just scared shitless and suddenly depressed. One moment I'm calm, the next my heart is beating so quickly I sometimes get a hard time to breath. That's what this book did to me. I'm now an emotional bipolar mess of a person. I'm probably gonna need/want some ... morepills now too, maybe even try pot just to get the feel of it. Of course I'm joking, but kidding aside, this is a really absofuckinglutely amazing book! It's sooo hard to express how much I love this series. There are really just no words for it. Karina Halle has captured everything I want in a story and more. I'd like to add more praises but I'm still a bit shell shocked on that ending. I'll just have to continue reading and see what happens. I don't want it to end, but that's just a battle that all readers have to face, and in the end lose anyway
review 2: Well this was by far my favorite book in the series, despite the heartbreaking ending. Perry grew some balls in this book, and I couldn't be happier! I was so glad to see she was finally starting to take people seriously when they gave her compliments. Maybe once upon a time she wasn't a curvy, gorgeous girl, but she is now. I absolutely loved the supporting cast in this installment. Rebecca and Emily just astonished me because they were so so wonderful to Perry. Jenn was a heartless witch and I had already pegged her as the meanie online in the previous book. This book makes some of the iffier installments totally worth it. The ending just left me with my mouth hanging wide open. In fact I've already started the next book because I just couldn't take that ending! A full 5 stars! less
