The character of Tom Guyot and his encounter with the devil inverts the stories about legendary blues guitarist Robert Johnson. The main character, Nathalie, and her friends demonstrate courage and intelligence as they try to solve the mystery of the traveling medicine show that has appeared in their town. ... morey yet important characters popped up just infrequently enough for me to get confused when their presence suddenly mattered. Love Old Tom and Natalie, the main character. A good summer read ... less
