review 1: I've never read a book that has as large amount of broken family relationships as this one does. In a way, like Aidan's tattoo, this book is filled with hope. It's really heartwarming to read about a brother and sister trying to find their way back to each other, this is the kind of story that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Amazing, fabulous, emotion filled. Definitely a to-read for everyone's list!!
review 2: I really enjoyed this book. It didn't turn out as I expected - I thought it would be a story showing how opposite the 2 siblings were but it slowly developed and there were subtle similarities between the personalities of them. It was easier to relate to Cass as, apart from the whole 'long-lost brother' thing, she was dealing with typical teen
... moreage problems (in a typical teenage manner!) but Aidan's problems were hardhitting without being outrageous. I really liked Will, Rich and Holly as supporting characters, and though Finn was used well to show the difficulties in Aidan's life, there were a lot of scenes of him crying which got a bit repetitive. However you could argue that this just added extra pressure to Aidan so it did also develop the story. The ending blow out was a little extreme but I did like the end of the story overall. I think this was a very good YA novel. less
