review 1: I love Kevin O'Brien's books - he writes such twisted, yet realistic books. I feel like they could happen to anyone at any point in their lives - I thought that I had read all of his books, but now that I have re-read his list there were a few that I missed. I enjoyed this story from beginning to end and I wasn't sure who the real killer was until almost the very end. A roller coaster of a ride that you just couldn't put down. Make sure you add this book to your TBR list and allot plenty of time to read since this is a must!
review 2: If I'm looking for a solid, pageturning thriller, Kevin O'Brien is always a good choice. He did not disappoint me this time either. A mysterious culprit, the mandatory twists and turns as well as a likeable heroine once again ... morecaused, that it was difficult to put the book down. The only weakness I found in the very common topic: fragile woman falls in love, gets mistreated, runs away, has to raise and protect her innocent child alone to finally... that particular part was much too obvious according to my opinion. But you should read yourself. As suspenseful entertainment I still recommend this novel. less
