review 1: This was my first read from this author and I enjoyed my introduction to Yoshi Lomax. There were a few times I had to put the book down in frustration at the foolishness but there was something about the author’s writing that made me want more. In all honesty, I’m glad I finished reading the book. It kept me interested in what would happen next. My only complaint is the ending. I was looking for closure or a resolution. Instead I was left hanging for the sequel, now that was disappointing!
review 2: Before I say anything else, I'm going to say that if I didn't live in a country bumpkin town where Books-a-Million closes at 9:00, I'd be headed out the door to buy the sequel Notorious. Yoshi Lomax was off the chain and she took me on a ride that took me away ... morefrom this world and all of it's problems for two days. I absolutely couldn't put this book down. I kept telling myself that I'd stop when I got to the next chapter but I just couldn't stop, I NEEDED to know what would happen next. I fell asleep reading, although I was doing my best to stay awake. Finally around one in the morning, my eyelids won the battle and shut down on me. I woke up around five for my bathroom break and started again. It was almost an obsession! I had some running around to do all day today but as soon as I returned home around seven this evening, the first thing I grabbed was this book. I finished the story, read the excerpt from Notorious, looked at the clock and I be doggone, it was 9:01! Books-a-Million is closed. I will be there tomorrow as soon as church is out. I just have to find out what happens next! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!!!! less
