review 1: Another great story by Kim Vogel Sawyer. Once again I fell in love with the characters, especially Tildy. I can just picture this wonderful woman and hear her fabulous accent. What a blessing she was to Emmaline and Geoffrey. I thought the author did a great job of telling this story. Of how we tend to assume things incorrectly when communication is lacking. Communication is SO important in any good relationship. I was very happy with the ending, but I won't say any more than that ;)
review 2: At first I did not like the main characters, but throughout the story they went through a major growing process and I was sad to close the book on them at the end. That means that the characters were very well written and "real", and I appreciate that just about more than
... more anything in a book. I especially liked that the main theme was finding your strength in jesus. In a lot of the Christian books I read, it is like a subplot. I was thrilled to find that it took precent in this book. I also loved how much it resembled the T.V. series Little House on the Prairie, and the books as well. I thought it was very historically accurate and informative in a pleasingly wonderful way. I love to learn about life on the frontier. A very good book, I liked it more and more as I progressed through it. Very good. :) less

Good although somewhat unrealistic at times. Characters needed more depth.
