Tarsie Raines,her friends,Joss and Mary Brubacher and their two young children dream of a better life than the slums of New York City in Drayton Valley, Kansas. On the wagon train,tragedy strikes on the trail,a partnership is formed between Joss and Tarsie. Money is low,but Tarsie's faith will carry her through hardship,and struggles.But she also starts to question her future. review 2: I love a good story that you can just loose yourself in, especially when you are feeling sick and your spirit needs a little boost. I also loved the wisdom so carefully tucked into the conversations of the characters. Good reminders, good lessons, and a good book. :) My favorite part was reading about Mary at the beginning and how she battled her illness on the wagon train. Very historical and worth remembering. less
