review 1: I declined to read this book for years, but just finished it. It was really not that bad, lol. I am surprised! I didn't want to read about Lothaire as a character when this book came out, and negative reviews prompted me to pass on it. But it was okay! 3.5 stars rounded up. The H/h relationship was resolved mostly to my satisfaction, and most of the complaints in the negative reviews were settled for me as well. Not the best in the IAD series and probably not a re-read for me, but really solid story into the IAD world.
review 2: This was quite the read, different then your average romance not with just dark brooding man but an evil power hunger one, who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. It was interesting to watch the relationship developing so ... moredifferent then your light read, he threatened and made fun of her and yet there relationship worked she held her own and wasn't just gone sit around and take the horrible way he treated her which made her a wonderfully likable character. less
