review 1: I am such a KA fan; can't go more than two books without a KA fix. Had not read Play It Safe...an earlier book I think but it got great reviews, so I figured...what the hey. The teaser didn't really appeal to me but, again, I'm such a fan. Well, the first 2/3 of the book was terrific and I got the usual knots in my heart ans stomach. BUT, the last third, aside from the ultimate resolution of the storyline and epilogue (and her epilogues are always fun), was superfluous. I found myself re-reading some of the dialogue over and over so it would make sense and I definitely thought it way too long. However, the story of Gray and Ivey was quite lovely and the storyline of their 'split' magnificently woven. Still, not my fave at all.
review 2: Me Tarzan, you Jane, got
... more me? And this sums it all. Stupid dialogues - if the general american male population speaks like that and the female population swoons upon hearing it then I am glad I live in Europe. As for the story it was a typical romance about two people who meet, instantly fall in love, are separated due to evil doings of a bad guy, get together, overcome all obstacles and live happily ever after. Nothing original and with all the sofisticated dialogues it was one of the worse books. Really. less
