review 1: Další z řady severských detektivek. Tentokrát relativně nosné téma - zdánlivá sebevražda depresemi trpícího kněze a jeho ženy, uprchlíci z Iráku, neonacisti, žena, kterou někdo oloupí o identitu... a jak to spolu všechno souvisí. Není to úplně špatné, ale přesto spíš průměr. Jedna z tisíce podobných knih. Dočetla jsem a myslím, že za pár dní si už ani nebudu pamatovat. Co mě trošku iritovalo, byl tým vyšetřovatelů, který se choval mnohdy zvláštně nedůvtipně. Jak by měli ve vyšetřování postupovat a co zjišťovat mě napadalo mnoho stránek před nimi.
review 2: I found this to be a bit of a slow read. I think that the characters were good and multidimensional. I also think that the plot was good, complex,... more and had depth. I think that my problem was that I had too much going on in my life and I suspect that there was a bit of a problem with the translation. The quick pace that the plot would really need was not mirrored in the prose. The prose was more thoughtful, which I liked, but was too contrary to the violence and graphic details proposed by the story. less
